This past number of months there are many of us who have been touched by the hand of human kindness, the toils of everyday life made easier by a friend or a stranger who made something that little bit easier. We have felt this, too, at Lough Derg. Just last week I opened a Christmas card and I smiled broadly as I read the note from a regular pilgrim who said that our presence online this year had been such that she felt Lough Derg had been with her right throughout the year.
In the video below I speak of how much I am looking forward to the Christmas Triduum of Masses. It will be my privilege to offer these three Masses on behalf of the hundreds of people who registered the names of family members, loved ones and friends.
The dates for the three Masses:
Friday 25 December 11.00am
Saturday 26 December 7.30pm
Sunday 27 December – at the Mass Rock along the Lough Derg Pilgrim Path (weather permitting)
The first two Masses can be viewed on live webcam steamed from St Mary’s Church in Pettigo. Click here to join us for the first two Masses. Unfortunately we cannot connect with you for the third Mass along the Pilgrim Path.
Thank you for entrusting Lough Derg with your intentions – pilgrims know about finding hope and finding confidence in the deeper places, in prayer and in thanksgiving.
Christmas Blessings
