Highlights of our Lakeshore Pilgrimage on the Lough Derg Pilgrim Path – watch the video below:
Friends, as you are aware this Saturday 31st July is our next Lakeshore Pilgrimage walk along the Lough Derg Pilgrim Path. We have been encouraged with the feedback of our new pilgrimage experience on the Lakeshore and invite any of you who are curious to find out more about our Pilgrim Path walk to watch the following ‘highlights’ video from last Sunday.
The pilgrimage includes prayer at the statue of Patrick the Pilgrim, at St Brigid’s Well, at Saints Island; and a pause for prayer at each of the nine Lough Derg Values posters. We propose that as they walk pilgrims can find space to pray in their own way and also take some quiet time to be in touch with nature and to talk with God. Walking the Path in company with others offers the opportunity to share some Lough Derg memories, stories and experiences. If the weather is suitable we include the possibility of Mass at a rock in the old quarry before the final stretch of the route.
