A weekly reflection from along the Pilgrim Path. This week Fr La is reflecting on ‘Pilgrimage in the Frost’
I am on pilgrimage through a frosty morning.
From above at Davog’s Seat, the sanctuary emerges from the morning mist.
Below on the Path, clean winter sunlight highlights a golden treescape.
And all along the way, light and frost in a shared miracle
invite me to attend to the intricate detail I usually just pass by:
the rosette of a thistle,
the umbrella of a seed-head,
the yearly age-rings in a stump,
the orderly patterns, leaf by leaf, in a tangle of bramble.
My pilgrim’s prayer: Lord, that I may see!
