Way of the Cross Booklet

In St Patrick’s Basilica on Lough Derg the Way of the Cross is presented in fourteen stained glass windows. These are the work of the Irish artist Harry Clarke (1889-1931). In each window an inset panel depicting the station is held by the figure of an apostle, with St Paul and Mary, Queen of Apostles, completing the series of fourteen.

The texts offered here are those prayed in common by pilgrims to Lough Derg. The full windows with the inset panels depicting the stations are reproduced as an aid to prayer and reflection for those who use this booklet in other settings.
