The Way of the Cross

In Saint Patrick’s Basilica on Lough Derg the Way of the Cross is presented in fourteen stained glass windows. These are the work of the Irish artist Harry Clarke (1889 – 1931). In each window an inset oval panel depicting the station is held by the figure of an apostle, with St Paul and Mary, Queen of Apostles, completing the series of fourteen.
